About

Our staff at Laughing Sheep Yarns is unique. Let me tell you a little bit more about us!

Nancy Kirk has worked in this shop for countless number of years with the past two owners. She is extremely knowledgeable about our stock, substitutions and fixing your knitting problems. She does not crochet and makes sure we all know it. Nancy is not only my friend but sometimes she thinks she is my mother. Can you see my eyes rolling!

Pat Halbert is an avid knitter also and to her credit a retired 1st grade teacher. Every day she tells us the greatest and funniest stories from her teaching days. The reason I share her previous profession is because we have deemed her to be a master at teaching basic knitting. She has the patience of a saint and loves to teach children from 6 years old to 96 years old. She is a great friend to have and I enjoy working with her.

Erica Millner has just started working here at Laughing Sheep Yarns. She is an expert at design and knits the most breathtaking garments. She can look at a pattern and make changes to it without having to think about it. Unfortunately for me and all of you she only works one day a week. I enjoy working with Erica because she is Erica and is indescribable.

And then there is me, Lisa Cogswell…what can I say about myself? I can tell you that I want everyone to think of my shop has home. A place you come to to feel good, make new friends, visit with old friends, explore and find new yarns, bags and all those little things knitters and crocheters absolutely have to have. I want you to be able to learn new techniques and while you are doing that be able to pour your heart out and let us make you feel loved. If you want to be silly do so, if you don’t that is fine too. Let’s just enjoy the day, be happy and laugh. You will recognize me by my flurry of activity, constant chatter and NY accent. Most people say I am like the “energizer bunny” I just keep going and going and going…
